About
Alex Kawliche, LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor with more than a decade of experience supporting adults, couples, and families. He earned his Master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida and holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology. Alex works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, infertility, and relationship challenges. He also provides a safe and affirming space for couples seeking to strengthen communication and trust, as well as individuals from alternative lifestyle communities. His therapeutic style blends practical tools with creative approaches, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, positive psychology, and strength-based strategies. Alex incorporates psychodrama, an experiential method that uses role-play and action to bring insight and healing beyond traditional talk therapy. He is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a gentle, imagery-based approach that can help reduce the impact of trauma and distressing memories. Dedicated to ongoing growth, Alex continues to expand his skills through trainings and professional engagement. He strives to create a compassionate, collaborative space where adults feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.

Message to clients
Starting therapy is a brave step, and I want you to know—you don’t have to do this alone. Life can feel heavy at times, whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, or simply feeling stuck. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported, without judgment. I work with adults who are ready to look a little deeper and begin making meaningful changes. I bring both compassion and directness into our work together—I’ll listen closely, but I’ll also gently challenge you when it can help you grow. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all. Some days we’ll talk through what’s weighing on you, and other days we may use creative approaches like psychodrama or Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to unlock new insights and relief. What matters most is that you feel safe, connected, and empowered to move forward at your own pace. If you’re looking for a therapist who will walk alongside you with honesty, care, and a genuine belief in your ability to heal and thrive, I’d be honored to join you on this journey.
