About
Alisa Kamis-Brinda, LCSW, LCADC is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in providing therapy to adults struggling with anxiety, anger management, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and addictions. She helps professionals and new parents learn how to cope with anxious and angry feelings so they can live a life that feels meaningful to them.
She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Widener University and has advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She incorporates ACT, CBT, and mindfulness in her work with clients. Working with Alisa is interactive. She isn’t the type of therapist who just sits, and listens, and nods. She offers supportive, insightful feedback and walks clients through different exercises to help them develop increased self-awareness and learn strategies and coping skills to help them achieve their goals.
