Casz is an autistic, queer, trans non-binary individual, who is committed to maintaining a space that is healing for folks from all backgrounds. Casz believes that each of us is inherently worthy as we are, and still deserve to carry heavy things more lightly and begin the process of healing. Casz has robust background working in community mental health from case management with asylum seekers and refugees, to substance use treatment with incarcerated individuals, to group therapy for folks in crisis, and to trauma work with LGBTQ+ youth and homeless youth. Through these experiences Casz has gained invaluable knowledge of the treatment of complex childhood trauma.
Hello, and welcome! Through the use of anti-oppressive, non-judgmental frameworks and collaboration, I create a therapeutic relationship with clients that promotes healing, justice, and self-determination. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, empowered and understood just as you are. I integrate a variety of therapeutic interventions including Internal Family Systems (IFS)/ parts work, DBT, grounding techniques, and mindfulness to help you accomplish your goals and address issues such as shame, guilt, suicidal ideation, loneliness, numbness, overwhelm, anger, trauma/c-PTSD, interpersonal distress, and emotion regulation. I hope I am able to accompany you on that journey.
