About Claire | She/her

Claire Summers, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker based in Los Angeles who works with adults navigating anxiety, chronic stress, life transitions, and relational challenges. She creates a warm, collaborative space where clients feel seen and supported in exploring their inner worlds and building a more grounded, fulfilling life. Claire draws from a trauma-informed, integrative approach, tailoring each session to the unique needs of the individual. Her work is deeply rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness practices, and somatic awareness, helping clients reconnect with themselves and access their innate capacity for healing. She believes therapy is not about "fixing" what's wrong, but about getting to know all parts of ourselves with compassion and curiosity. Claire holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and has years of experience working in both clinical and community-based settings. She brings a calm, attuned presence to therapy and values authenticity, trust, and mutual respect in the therapeutic relationship. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious about your inner experience, Claire offers thoughtful, nonjudgmental support. Her goal is to help clients feel more empowered, resourced, and aligned with their values as they navigate the complexities of life. Claire offers both in-person sessions in Los Angeles and virtual therapy throughout California.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable—especially if it’s your first time. You might be wondering what to expect, whether you’ll be understood, or if you even know what to say. If you’re holding anxiety, self-doubt, or a deep longing to feel more like yourself, I want you to know: you’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate this on your own. My role is to help you slow down, tune in, and get curious about what’s going on beneath the surface. Together, we’ll make space for all the parts of you—especially the ones that feel stuck, overwhelmed, or shut down—and approach them with compassion and understanding. Whether you're here because you're struggling or because you want to know yourself more fully, you’re already taking a brave first step. Therapy with me is a collaborative and grounding process. I work from a gentle, depth-oriented lens, using Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and somatic awareness to support deeper self-connection and healing. I believe therapy can be a powerful space to return to yourself and access your own inner wisdom. You don’t need to have it all figured out before you start. If you’re curious about what therapy could look like for you, I’d love to connect for a brief consultation and see if we’re a good fit
