Message to clients
If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, I’m here to help. I believe that each of us has the innate ability and desire to lead a fulfilling life and have satisfying relationships. My specialty is supporting highly creative individuals and couples. Many of my clients work in the fields of film, theater, opera, music, literature and visual arts. Although my practice is primarily private pay, I am in network with Carelon Behavioral Health which serves members of the SAG-AFTRA Health Plan. I see clients in Los Angeles in person, and throughout California via a secure telehealth platform. I use EMDR to help clients reprocess trauma and my work is guided by my training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) and Mindful Awareness Practices. I also have a particular interest in providing support to clients with ME/CFS and Long Covid and their caregivers. I seek to provide clients a safe, non-judgmental place to express and explore their challenges, and help them to rediscover their talents, strengths and resources. My goal is to create collaborative partnerships that enable clients to move away from self-blame and judgment and help them to find solutions that are consistent with their values and beliefs. I enjoy working with clients who are ready to make a commitment to personal growth and a deeper understanding of themselves and their patterns. Together we can talk about the things that are hard to talk about, clarify your goals, and work as a team to achieve them. When I work with couples, I help them step out of painful cycles of interaction and reconnect in more loving and supportive ways. Trust is rebuilt and partners learn to understand each other on a deeper level. I believe a committed relationship should be a safe haven where you and your partner can be yourselves without fear of being rejected.

Angela Wallace, MFT
Clay is insightful, patient, highly sensitive and also fun! He easily made the material accessible and the counselors in training loved him. He's an insightful clinician and I would feel comfortable sending anyone to him. I, obviously, highly recommend Clay!
Kim Cookson, Psy.D.
Clay Crosby is a gifted therapist. He is a smart, caring and non-judgmental clinician who listens and responds with sensitivity and insight. His advanced training in EMDR and the Trauma Resiliency Model provides him with the tools to process traumatic experiences and somatically support the resilience of his clients. I highly recommend Clay Crosby to individuals, couples and families, knowing that they will experience the highest quality of care.
Jonathan Vickburg, LMFT
I’ve had the privilege of working with Clay Crosby for many years, both as a colleague in private practice and through our connection at the Southern California Counseling Center. Clay is an exceptionally skilled and compassionate therapist whose warmth and insight create a safe space for growth and healing. He works especially well with individuals navigating trauma or creative and high-performance challenges, bringing deep empathy and clinical expertise to his work. I would wholeheartedly refer both individuals and couples to Clay.
