Message to clients
Hello, I am a psychotherapist and a play therapist, offering Child, Youth, Adult and Family psychotherapy services. In-person in Scarborough, ON. & online for adult and youth, residing anywhere in Ontario. Psychotherapy is provided to individuals and families experiencing trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, mood and behaviour regulation issues, self-esteem issues, life transitions, ADHD, Autism, & bullying. Children naturally communicate, understand, learn, and heal through play. Youth may benefit through a combination of Play Therapy and Talk Therapy. With adults I use, talk-therapy, CBT, and other modalities. Through Talk Therapy, CBT, Mindfulness, Play Therapy and other approaches, individuals may start to express and better understand their emotions; begin to relieve distress and learn to work through their anxiety; change unhelpful habits, attitudes, thoughts, and behaviours; and they may gain a more adaptive way of coping.

She is strength based and as such ensures that clients are aware of the assets and resources they already bring into therapy and can draw from. Deborah is able to engage with children, adults and families and weaves creative techniques and activities into her work to achieve goals set.
