About Emma | She/her

Emma's approach to therapy is as follows: start by understanding the ‘what.’ What emotions/symptoms are you experiencing? Then connect the ‘what’ to the ‘why.’ Why are you feeling this way? Why is the past so impactful? Finally, the ‘how.’ How can we move through emotions successfully and develop tools to build the relationships you want? Here are some of the tools Emma uses: Brainspotting, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Internal Family Systems, art, attachment, psychodynamic, existential, somatic, cognitive behavioral, and nature therapies. Emma also has a therapy dog (Teddy) who provides animal assisted therapy!

Message to clients

Relationships are hard for everyone; whether it’s social anxiety when meeting potential partners or new friends, trauma reactions diverting us from the here and now, harmful communication patterns creeping in, addiction playing a role of unwelcome “third partner,” doubt in relationship longevity, big fights, or slowly drifting apart, we all need the tools, vision, and insight to build and maintain the relationships we intend. That's where therapy can help. The biggest predictor of progress in therapy is your level of comfort, so let’s schedule a 15 min (free) consult to get to know each other and see if it’s the right fit! If not, I’d love to connect you with the right person to help.
