About
Erin is a licensed clinical social worker based in Boston, Massachusetts, who has been in private practice since 2021. She carries a certification in perinatal mental health and has advanced training in the use of EMDR. Prior to starting her own practice, Erin worked on a trauma team at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Boston-area Harvard Medical School teaching hospital. Erin's practice focuses on supporting parents through the transition to parenthood and coping with parental stress and overwhelm. She has advanced training in working with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and perinatal grief and loss, including supporting families facing traumatic birth experiences, NICU stays, miscarriages and fertility challenges. Erin also treats childhood anxiety disorders through the SPACE treatment model. In SPACE, parents learn to modify their own behavior in order to help their kids feel less anxious and more resilient. In addition to her clinical training, Erin is a mom to 4 and brings a wealth of lived experience to her work.

Message to clients
Hi there! I’m Erin, and I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for help can be a tough step. The good news? The fact that you’ve made it this far means you’re already well on your way to feeling better. I get it: life as a parent today can be pretty overwhelming. Maybe the transition to parenthood has turned your world upside down. You had ideas about the type of parent you thought you’d be, but your day to day reality feels so far from that vision. You’re feeling disconnected, stressed out, and overextended. Or maybe you’ve tried so many different parenting approaches with little success. That “gentle parenting” stuff sounds good on paper, but the reality? It just doesn’t feel like it’s working. Perhaps a traumatic birth - or other tough stuff from your past - keeps creeping into your day to day life. You have the sense that there’s something stirring under the surface that might need addressing, but it’s been hard to find the time and space to do it, nevermind the right person to support you through it. My clients come to me because they want to feel better - to struggle less, to move through life with more psychological flexibility, and to move closer to the things that matter most to them. If you identify with some of what you’re reading, I’d love to chat about how I can support you.
