Kate is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Bright Connections Counseling. She offers in-person and virtual therapy, located in the suburbs of Denver. Kate has always been drawn to connecting with other humans and creating strong relationships. At a young age, she knew she wanted to be in a field focused on helping others. This wiring naturally led her to a career in counseling. Kate brings those same qualities of curiosity, empathy, and warmth to her clients. Kate strives to create a space where clients feel free to express their innermost thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment- a space where people can show up as their full, beautiful, messy, human, authentic selves- and where she can, too! Kate has specialized training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems & Synergetic Play Therapy, all of which are designed to help people process difficult life experiences. Kate is a wife and mama to two energetic little humans. When Kate is not therapist-ing, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, doing yoga, painting, being in nature, playing board games, and having living room dance parties. Kate firmly believes that the relationship is the most important part of the therapy process and therefore, prioritizes building relationship and authentic connection to help clients feel heard, felt, understood, and valued during our time together.
