About
Kirsten Hartz, LPC, LAC, sees herself as a companion and guide for highly sensitive, empathic individuals seeking a path to recovery from trauma. She loves to support clients in navigating spiritual and emotional breakdowns (or breakthroughs!) to transform and make sense of overwhelming life moments through somatic and parts work. Kirsten weaves in ketamine-assisted therapy to reinforce and integrate the nervous system work happening through EMDR and somatic therapy. Kirsten graduated from Naropa University with a Master's in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology and has been practicing for over 7 years. She founded a group practice in Denver where she holds in-person sessions for individuals and groups. Kirsten provides virtual therapy throughout CO, TX, and WA. Kirsten is certified in EMDR and trained in the Hakomi Method and ketamine-assisted therapy. She combines these modalities for a holistic approach to treating trauma and trauma-related symptoms, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and eating disorders. With a history of working with substance abuse and eating disorders in inpatient and outpatient treatment centers, she has experience using DBT, mindfulness, and other skills-based approaches in conjunction with somatic therapies for effective results. In her work with clients, there’s always space for vulnerable moments, profound realizations, uninhibited emotions, and very often, deep belly laughs.
