Leanne received her Master's in Clinical Mental Health and a Concentration in Transpersonal Art Therapy from Naropa University. Transpersonal Art Therapy recognizes the mind, body and spiritual aspects of an individual, and that art-making can facilitate meaning-making and natural healing for therapy clients. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Colorado and a Registered Art Therapist (ATR). Leanne holds a certificate in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders from Postpartum Support International (PSI).
My story of becoming an Art Therapist begins as a young girl; creating art was the only way I knew how to move through complex emotions throughout my childhood and into adulthood. One of the most profound transitions for me was the initiation into motherhood. Although I had been a practicing Art Therapist for many years, I was not granted immunity from the profound challenges of becoming a modern mother. Since then, I have learned how to reconnect with my inner wisdom and become the artist of my life again. My healing journey and experiences as a mother continue to inform my work supporting women throughout all stages of life. I am honored to walk alongside you as you continue to make marks on the masterpiece of your life.
