Dr. Vallejo is a bilingual, bicultural licensed psychologist who works with adults of all ages. She specializes in working with people who have challenging relationships with their families of origin, difficulties with understanding and expressing emotions, first gen and immigrant experiences, race-based stress, ADHD, concerns with physical health, and mood disorders. She also has expertise in providing comprehensive psychological assessments. Dr. Vallejo has worked in various healthcare settings and has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in navigating complex systems and mental health concerns, while gaining a deep appreciation for the relationship between physical and mental health. Dr. Vallejo uses an integrative approach to treatment, encompassing evidence-based, multiculturally informed methods, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness based interventions. She also believes in the value of a strong, therapeutic relationship and client’s being the experts of their own lives and experiences. Dr. Vallejo strives to create a space that fosters openness and authenticity by offering empathy, nonjudgment and compassion. In addition, Dr. Vallejo recognizes that therapy is one of many facets to mental wellness, and encourages a holistic framework.
