Message to clients
I take a somatic approach to therapy, which might sound a bit abstract, but it’s simple: it’s about feeling things rather than just talking about them. Somatic therapy taps into the way our nervous system works—most of our communication is body-to-brain, not the other way around. That’s why it’s tough to talk our way out of anxiety, and why talk therapy has its limits. My work is also relational, because many of my clients have experienced relational trauma—wounds from past relationships like neglectful parents or emotionally abusive partners. Healing these wounds requires connection, which is why the therapeutic relationship itself becomes part of the healing process. The struggles you bring into therapy—whether it's feeling unseen, struggling to ask for help, or trying to please others—will show up in the room. That's where change begins: addressing these patterns as they arise between us. I’m not a detached, "blank-slate" therapist. I’m human, and I bring my whole self into the room—laughing, crying, and relating to you from a place of genuine connection. I don’t have all the answers, but I do see us as a team, exploring what’s most meaningful for *you* and how we can navigate your journey together.
