About
A queer femme from the Pacific Northwest, Melina (she/her) has been a part of the Seattle sexual health and LGBTQ+ scene for decades. Originally advocating equitable practices for trans youth in family medicine and veterans in public health research, Melina now dedicates her work to supporting clients as a sex educator, sex therapist, and perinatal mental health advocate.
Each session is a generous balance of honesty, humility, challenge, and compassion. Your work with Melina is grounded in a therapeutic experience that honors your values, features your strengths, your learning style, and your innate wisdom. She’ll arrive with authenticity, curiosity, and specialized care, supporting you as you navigate each ebb and flow in the wake of pursuing your goals and aspirations.
Working with Melina is consent-focused and trauma-informed, supporting you in struggles related to sex, intimacy, life transitions, and stepping into our most empowered selves. Common clinical concerns in her work include sexual shame, purity culture/religious trauma, pleasure and sexual dissatisfaction, out-of-control-sexual-behavior (i.e. “porn addiction” or “sex addiction”), postpartum depression and connection, LGBTQA+ relationships, and more.
Melina enjoys working with teens (15+), individuals, couples, and relationships of all forms via telehealth or in-person in Seattle.
