About
Peter Linden is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in highly educated neurodivergent adults over 25 who struggle with social/familial ostracism, anger, homophobia, transphobia, fears of rejection, dread, and advocating for their needs, all of which manifest as low- to medium-support needs autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities. Peter Linden utilizes gestalt psychotherapy, a present-oriented therapy that helps clients understand how their repetitive ways of thinking, feeling, sensing, experiencing, and communicating are getting in the way of what they want in life. As clients become more aware of what they are experiencing in the moment, they can more easily communicate their needs, develop relationships based on love, and unmask. Peter Linden has an extensive background in psychotherapy, as demonstrated by receipt of a Master of Social Work from New York University, a clinical fellowship in gestalt psychotherapy from Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy, and experience with neurodivergent adults in public health and private practice. Peter Linden provides virtual individual, couples, and group psychotherapy sessions to clients in CT, FL, HI, NJ, and NYS out of his home in Montclair, NJ and at the offices of Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy in Manhattan. Peter also provides in-home sessions for clients who have difficulty leaving their homes.
