Message to clients

I specialize in supporting clients who have been impacted by trauma and anxiety. For some clients that means dealing with PTSD, depression, OCD, and for others it means sleepless nights. I use evidence based treatments collaboratively with clients. I care deeply about providing culturally competent care and tailoring treatment to each individual. I want you to feel supported in the therapy process, making progress towards your goals, and getting closer to living your most meaningful life.

Dr. Ruth and I share a cognitive-behavioral theoretical (CBT) orientation, which she applies to her work on the clinical, systems, and state levels. Dr. Ruth is board-certified in behavioral and cognitive psychology. She has extensive training and provides supervision in use of CBT for treatment of trauma related difficulties. I am proud to say that I had a small role in her training as she attending one of the prolonged exposure (PE) workshops I taught and participated in post-training implementation consultation with me. She was a top-notch participant in our PE workshop as well as a treasured member of the post-training consultation group, adding value in both spaces through her kind presence and active participation. She has treated countless patients (both in VA and in her private practice) and supported many psychologists-in-training in learning how CBT can drastically reduce the impact of trauma on people’s lives. Dr. Ruth centers matters of ethics and diversity into all aspects of her work and life. She is a skillful clinician, using CBT strategies and protocols with compassion and individual tailoring, I would enthusiastically refer a friend or family member to her for trauma related treatment.
