About
Ryan is a therapist and partner at New Life Wellness, where he provides a highly personalized, collaborative, and lifestyle medicine approach to mental health treatment. His focus goes beyond symptom management, toward lasting healing and well-being. His trauma-centered approach is humanistic, spiritual, and informed by parts work (Internal Family Systems (IFS)). He integrates multiple evidence-based techniques in order to help release what is stuck, reset your nervous system, and restore a sense of security and purpose. These include somatic and sub-cortical methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), in addition to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Ohio and serves adults, couples, and teens. He holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Wright-State University), a Bachelor of Business Administration (The Ohio State University), and graduated from Centerville High School (Dayton, OH). He is a member of the ACA & SAIGE and has completed the LGBTQ+ Rainbow Certificate Program: Level 1. With over twenty years of global leadership experience spanning marketing, entertainment, and consumer research, Ryan brings a broad perspective to therapeutic work. His journey from consultant, general manager, and executive producer to licensed therapist has given him unique insight into relationship dynamics, world cultures, life transitions, and the steps necessary to create change and satisfaction. Ryan believes healing begins by understanding and honoring all parts of who you are. He finds meaning in witnessing your evolution and growth. His role is to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood-never judged. Together, he and his clients will explore not just what has happened, but how to rewire your nervous system for calm, joy, and love. His specialties include trauma (complex, chronic, acute, sexual, religious), anxiety, depression, grief/loss, chronic pain, relationships, and career counseling. He offers in-person services in Dayton, along with select availability for video telehealth across Ohio. When you're ready to take the next step, contact Ryan to schedule a free 15-minute consultation session, and begin your journey toward lasting transformation.

Donna Burkholder, LPCC
I have worked with Ryan in community mental health setting during his internship. He is a very supportive and conscientious therapist. He has a willingness and drive to continue to learn new techniques to benefit client success and to build onto the strong foundation of therapy practices that he has already developed.

Tanda S. Garner, LPC
I worked with Ryan during his one year internship. Ryan has an excellent fund of knowledge and is very helpful in getting to the bottom of client problems. He is personable and easy to talk to. And Ryan was trained in a gold standard treatment for therapy - Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
