Violeta is a Clinical Social Worker and Trauma Therapist with a research & holistic health background. Her research has focused on the negative impact of discrimination on individuals with marginalized identities including but not limited to race, the gender spectrum, and sexuality. She is the type of therapist who knows the value of insisting on a client’s dignity. She enjoys supporting clients remember how to connect back to their hearts, bodies, and minds. She has witnessed clients’ symptoms of anxiety, depression, and dissociation reduce because of her collaborative method of care. She supports clients through somatic therapy, EMDR, and acute cultural awareness. Because of Violeta’s approach to this work, she maintains a limited caseload to maximize her ability to be her best self and participate in continuing education relevant to client care.
You're looking for someone who gets it - someone who can connect with you on a deeper level, someone who values transparency and understands the complex ingredients necessary to build trust. It's possible that you've tried talk therapy but you felt apprehensive about being your full self. As a clinician who believes that every therapist should have a therapist, I've felt the exact same way when I've been the client. I'm ready to work clients who are motivated to change and ready to be witnessed for the hard work they've put into their own healing journey. I'm interested in building on that foundation that you already have. I must admit, I am a tender, slow paced therapist. However, I know the power and impact of safe containers where structure is sometimes the medicine. If any of this is connecting to you, listen to that inner voice and reach out. We can book a free consultation. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Her holistic, trauma-informed approach helps clients reconnect with their bodies, navigate complex emotions, and reclaim their sense of self. Violeta’s warmth, cultural humility, and commitment to client empowerment make her a powerful ally on any healing journey.
Violeta and I worked together in a group practice. She is a clinically skilled and insightful therapist and a positive and supportive colleague. Clients that we shared trusted her implicitly and spoke of her highly. Her knowledge about the connection between trauma and oppression is invaluable.
Violeta utilizes frameworks in therapy that center healing. As a practitioner that is person-centered, her approach to enaging with clients is focusing on identifying the most effective approach based on their needs and considering wholistic approaches that consider individuals total needs and experiences.
