Message to clients
I help my clients internalize a greater sense of self-compassion with patience, care, and great attention to detail. I take my time learning about your family of origin, past relationships, and relationship to the culture at large. My advanced training in psychodynamic therapy helps me listen for what’s not consciously known to you, but is certainly felt. Sometimes this feels like a chronic sense that you’re not good enough, even when you “know” that isn’t true. Maybe you’re anxious, lonely, or confused by your own choices. I approach each patient with the humility of knowing that no matter how much training I have, I know close to nothing about how your mind has made sense of your life. We work together to make useful meaning of what we learn about you together.
