About
Kenny Levine, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience helping couples navigate conflict, improve communication, and reconnect emotionally. He provides telehealth couples counseling throughout Utah and North Carolina, as well as in-person intensive couples counseling in Utah. Kenny is Level 3 trained in the Gottman Method and integrates both the Gottman Method and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into his work with couples. Much of his practice involves couples who feel stuck in painful relationship patterns: having the same arguments repeatedly, struggling to communicate without conflict escalating, or feeling emotionally disconnected after years of distance or stress. Some couples seek therapy after trust has been broken, while others arrive feeling more like roommates than partners. His work begins with a structured assessment process grounded in the Gottman Method. Before jumping into solutions, Kenny works to develop a clear understanding of the relationship’s strengths, challenges, communication patterns, and areas of disconnection. That assessment helps create a practical roadmap for the work ahead. Kenny frequently works with high-achieving professionals — including physicians, attorneys, and other demanding professionals — who want a therapist who is engaged, straightforward, respectful of their time, and focused on meaningful, evidence-based work.

Many couples come to therapy feeling exhausted by the same painful conversations, emotionally distant from one another, or unsure how things became so difficult between them. Often, both partners care deeply about the relationship, but no longer feel understood, supported, or connected in the ways they once did. My goal is not simply to help couples “communicate better,” but to help them slow down and understand the patterns that keep them stuck. In our work together, I strive to create a space where both people feel heard without therapy becoming a blame session or a debate about who is right. I tend to work actively and collaboratively in sessions. That means helping couples recognize escalation patterns as they happen, identify what sits underneath conflict, and develop more effective ways of responding to one another during difficult moments. Couples therapy can be challenging work, particularly when hurt, resentment, or disconnection have built up over time. But meaningful change is possible when both partners are willing to engage honestly in the process. If you’re looking for a therapist who combines warmth, structure, and directness, I’d be honored to work with you.

James Tyler Beach, LCSW
Kenny is an excellent therapist. He is down to earth, while also keeping up with what works in therapy (via the evidence base), and communicating that to his clients.
Kristin B. Webb, PsyD
Kenny is an excellent choice if you are experiencing challenges in your marriage or partnership; he uses Discernment Counseling to help couples find a path forward. He also has expertise helping people with sexual questions or problems. He has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which fits well with his approach of balancing acceptance of where you are with helping you to make the changes that will get you where you want to be. He is compassionate and insightful. I like to refer patients to Kenny because I know they will be treated with respect and will receive the help they need.
